We are recruiting for a Director of Clinical Education.
The Director of Clinical Education is responsible for managing the development, initiation, and oversight of initial and ongoing clinical education for all clinical crew members. This position is responsible for ensuring Clinical Education Managers maintain required standards and competencies in accordance with accreditation standards , LFN policies, and clinical agreements. This position is also responsible for ensuring Clinical Education Managers and the Clinical Training Manager effectively communicate LFN standards to new clinical crew members during the orientation period while these new employees report directly to the Clinical Education Department. The Director of Clinical Education reports to the Chief Clinical Officer and performs Flight Nurse Flight Paramedic, or Flight Respiratory Therapist duties.
Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare or management related field required. A Master’s degree in a healthcare or management related field is strongly preferred
Current instructor status in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP and PHTLS preferred
5 years of Flight Nurse, Flight Paramedic, or Flight Respiratory Therapist experience strongly preferred, 3 years required.
5 years pre-hospital Clinical Education experience required
Meets qualifications of Flight Nurse, Flight Paramedic, or Flight Respiratory Therapist and maintains current applicable state credentials
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Demonstrated positive interpersonal and communication skills with co-workers, patients, families, physicians and the community
Complies with weight restrictions (maximum 250 pounds, fully outfitted to perform the job)
Demonstrated knowledge of operations, including staffing, scheduling, and staff development.
Strong communication and leadership skills with a willingness to lead by example
